First-Time Setup

Follow these steps to activate BitCord OS in your community. As a broadcaster, your job is to prepare the environment so your viewers can sync their ranks.

1. Verify API Connections

Upon login, check your connection status. These confirm that BitCord OS can communicate with Twitch and Discord on your behalf.

2. Invite the Bot (Bot Presence)

The bot does not join your chat automatically. You must manually summon it to your Twitch channel.

Activation:

Find the Bot Presence section on your dashboard and click Join Channel. The bot will appear in your viewer list and start listening for commands immediately.

3. Connect Your Server

BitCord OS uses its internal bot to manage your roles. You just need to tell us where to go.

Navigate to the Discord Settings tab in the sidebar.

Enter your Discord Server ID (Guild ID). This tells the BitCord bot which server contains your reward roles.

⚠️ Bit-to-Role syncing will remain disabled until a valid Guild ID is saved.

The Viewer Handshake

Unlike the broadcaster, your viewers must perform a handshake to link their accounts. This grants the bot permission to update their roles in your Discord server.

Instruct your users to type:
